How I Got Here

Music has always been in my life and been a part of my life in some way, shape or form. But it wasn't until I was 13, and picked up a guitar for the first time, that it started to become a cornerstone in my life.

My late Guitar Teacher, Jack Jones, taught me how to play for 5 years in a small town called Crossville, TN. After which I went on to pursue music even further at Middle Tennessee State University where I graduated with a B.S. in both Music Management and Songwriting.

​

During my journey I had a few songs cut at Omni-Studios in Nashville that I co-wrote with some amazing artists. Through those songs, I submitted and was selected to be a part of Judy Stakees' Nashville Songwriting Retreat. That was a huge honor because only 22 people were selected in the whole country. She is responsible for discovering Sheryl Crow & Gavin DeGraw to name a few. I was also selected to be a part of Don Felder of The Eagles' Songwriting workshop at the Sweetwater Headquarters in Fort Wayne, IN.

I took the knowledge I learned from school, listening and playing music and created my own studio: Grey Space Recording Studios. The idea of the name comes from the fact that I love art. And no matter what, whenever I looked at a piece of art or even heard it in the form of music, I was always able to find the beauty in the grey spaces.

I've played in quite a few bands over the course of my playing career. Currently I play guitar in a Hard Rock/Metalcore band called Hollow Wake based out of Nashville, TN. I've also had the pleasure to be able to produce a few songs for people here and there.

Music has been a part of my life and something I always tell myself is, "Music Expresses What I Simply Cannot."
